About me
I grew up in South Africa – a beautiful country with many opportunities and also many challenges – finding creative solutions to challenges is part of my culture.
Change can be painful, but I am motivated by the opportunities it offers to create something new. I have built a life in three different countries with very different cultures and each has offered the opportunity to grow.
After completing my studies in Economics and Organisational Psychology in South Africa, my journey took me from the investment department of an insurance company in Cape Town to an international bank in London where I thrived on the challenges of working in the uncompromising performance culture of leveraged acquisition finance for private equity clients.
My inspiration
Creating an environment for others to thrive received my full focus living in Zürich with my family. Empowering people in following their goals highlighted the power of mental resilience. This rewarding role inspired me to further my studies in psychology and to embark on a new career path establishing my Performance Coaching practice.
The drive to keep learning and to keep growing, to not only deliver results, but to exceed expectations is what makes the seemingly impossible possible. The motivation to do this comes from a clear understanding of what drives you. The stamina to stay the course comes from keeping this in focus and knowing how to recharge.
It is a privilege and a delight to accompany you on your unique and extraordinary journey.
A quotation which suits me:
«Let your decisions be guided by your hopes, not your fears.»
Nelson Mandela
My approach
Outstanding sporting performances and the ability of individuals to overcome obstacles, continue to inspire and fascinate me.
I believe that people are fundamentally striving to be their best, however, they can be thrown off course by experiences and coping mechanisms, which create dissonance and stand in their way. I work with you in identifying and strengthening your resources, discovering new perspectives, and helping you use these constructively to reach your goals and fulfill your potential.
My approach is strongly grounded in scientific research and supported by practical experience. It includes humanist principles with hypnosystemic, constructivist and behaviourist aspects. The power of this approach lies in working with both the conscious and the unconscious mind. This allows us to get results faster, empowering action that feels right for you.
I am a member of SASP (Swiss Association of Sport Psychology) and BPS (The British Psychological Society).
„It always seems impossible until it’s done.“
